NKU women's basketball team snapped IUPUI Jaguars 13 game win streak Saturday afternoon at BB&T Arena. The 65-63 win places NKU in a tie for second place with Wright State. The Norse are 10-5 in conference and 16-10 overall.

NKU basketball is on a roll right now. For the first time in the program’s Division I NCAA history, the women’s team is tied for second in the Horizon League, coming off a win streak of four. The men’s team now has their whole roster playing together at full health, are tied for second and are on a two-game winning streak. Good luck coming up with a better way to start off homecoming week!

NKU women’s basketball team dominated the Milwaukee University Panthers Thursday night at BB&T Arena. Sophomore guard Ally Niece led with 17 points shooting 7-of-12 from the field. Redshirt senior Molly Glick followed with 13 points.

Wright State University (WSU) and Northern Kentucky University (NKU) hold the most intense rivalry in the Horizon League, starting in 2015 when NKU joined the league. NKU and WSU have fought back and forth for years, taking turns earning Horizon League titles and going to the NCAA championships. This intense, long-term rivalry began in July of 2015 when it was announced that NKU would be joining the Horizon League.

The Northern Kentucky men’s basketball team captured their second win in three days Saturday night against the Cleveland State Vikings. The win marks five straight conference wins for the Black and Gold.

Norse take down Milwaukee Panthers in Conference Opener

The Northern Kentucky men’s basketball team won its Horizon League conference opener Saturday afternoon against the Milwaukee Panthers 74-64 at BB&T Arena. Senior guard Tyler Sharpe led the Norse with 31 points, including six 3-pointers. This game was Sharpe’s third consecutive 30 point performance.
