Sunday morning, NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13 year-old daughter Gianna “Gigi” Maria-Onore Bryant died in a helicopter crash along with seven others. TMZ was the first to break the story of Kobe Bryant being involved in the helicopter crash.

The game came down to the last minute Friday night at BB&T Arena, where NKU women’s basketball team fell 55-63. The Norse now stand 9-9 overall and 3-4 in the conference. Sophomore point guard Ally Niece led the game with 16 points, five assists and three steals. sophomore point guard Taylor Clos had 13 points, shooting 3-of-4 big time 3-point baskets.

NKU women’s basketball ends weekend 1-1 after 73-68 loss

NKU women's basketball fell to Cleveland State 73-68 Saturday afternoon at BB&T Arena. In the conference the Norse are now 2-2 and have an overall record of 8-7. Sophomore forward Emmy Souder and Sophomore point guard each led with 18 points apiece. Sophomore point guard Ally Niece followed with 11 points, shooting from 50 percent at the 3-point line. Junior center Grayson Rose had 17 rebounds from the boards. 
Senior Taryn Taugher, a former NKU womens basketball player, accused Head Coach Camryn Whitaker of emotional abuse on March 24.

For years, NKU women’s basketball players experienced a culture of abuse fostered by its head coach that went unaddressed by administrators, according to allegations by former NKU players and their parents.

NKU women’s basketball season comes to an end against IUPUI Jaguars

NKU's season comes to an end in Indianapolis against the no. 4 IUPUI Jaguars in the first round of Motor City Madness, 44-60. The Norse end the season with an 11-18 overall record and 10-8 conference record. The Jaguars advance to play Wright State in the semi finals of the Horizon League championship.

NKU women’s basketball team ended the home season with six game winning streak against Cleveland State Sunday afternoon with a score of 74-55. The Norse move to 8-8 in the conference and 9-17 on the season. Cleveland State Vikings fall to 10-18 on the season and 7-10 in the Horizon League.

Preview: Women’s team hosts Cleveland State on Senior Day

The NKU women’s basketball team hosts Cleveland State Vikings Sunday, Feb. 24 at BB&T Arena. The game will be the final home game of the season and honor senior guard Taryn Taugher. The game will also be NKU’s pink game, the Norse partner with the Pink Ribbon Girls, an organization that provides various services to individuals with breast and gynecological cancers.
Molly Glick (24) shoots a free throw during the game against IUPUI. Glick shot 4-of-4 for free throws and had 10 points on the night.

Norse fall to Wright State 78-56

NKU women’s basketball team fell on the road during their Horizon League match up against Wright State.  The final score of the game was 56-78. This brought the teams season record to 7-17 overall and 6-8 in the Horizon League while the Raiders improved 20-6 overall and 12-2 in the Horizon League.

NKU women’s basketball team fell to the Milwaukee Panthers Saturday afternoon 59-38.  The loss brought the Norse overall season record down to 7-16 and 6-7 in the Horizon League. The Panthers are now 6-6 in the League and 11-12 overall.

NKU women's basketball team wins against IUPUI Thursday evening, 60-57  at BB&T Arena. Norse move to 5-5 in Horizon League play and 6-14 overall. IUPUI now sits at 7-3 in the conference and 13-8 on the season.

Women’s basketball falls to Cleveland State 76-47

The NKU women’s basketball team couldn’t seem to find their footing on Friday morning against the Cleveland State Vikings, losing the game, 76-47. The Norse fall to 3-13 on the season and 2-4 in the Horizon League, while Cleveland State improved to 7-11 overall with a 4-3 conference mark.
Womens basketball will play UC Wednesday night in Truist Arena.
