NKU to review women’s basketball after players accuse coach of emotional abuse

For years, NKU women’s basketball players experienced a culture of abuse fostered by its head coach that went unaddressed by administrators, according to allegations by former NKU players and their parents.

NKU takes down Oakland Grizzlies 74-63

NKU women's basketball defeats Oakland Golden Grizzlies 74-63. This win moves NKU to 10-17 on the season and 9-8 in the Horizon League. The Grizzlies fall 6-22 in the season and 3-14 in the conference.

Preview: Women’s team hosts Cleveland State on Senior Day

The NKU women’s basketball team hosts Cleveland State Vikings Sunday, Feb. 24 at BB&T Arena. The game will be the final home game of the season and honor senior guard Taryn Taugher. The game will also be NKU’s pink game, the Norse partner with the Pink Ribbon Girls, an organization that provides various services to individuals with breast and gynecological cancers.

Norse fall to Milwaukee 59-38

NKU women’s basketball team fell to the Milwaukee Panthers Saturday afternoon 59-38.  The loss brought the Norse overall season record down to 7-16 and 6-7 in the Horizon League. The Panthers are now 6-6 in the League and 11-12 overall.

Norse knock down UIC, 78-44

NKU women’s basketball team win 78-44 against UIC Flames Saturday afternoon at BB&T Arena. The Norse climb to 7-14 this season and 6-5 in the conference. This win marks the highest win streak of the season with 4. UIC falls to 3-19 this season and 1-10 in the conference.

Women’s Basketball gains a 2-0 win streak against Oakland

NKU Women’s Basketball team faced off against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies and defended their home-court with a score of 72-50 win. In conference play NKU now stands at 5-4, while Oakland women’s basketball team drops to 1-8.

The NKU women’s basketball team couldn’t seem to find their footing on Friday morning against the Cleveland State Vikings, losing the game, 76-47. The Norse fall to 3-13 on the season and 2-4 in the Horizon League, while Cleveland State improved to 7-11 overall with a 4-3 conference mark.

Women’s basketball clutches 55-54 win over Milwaukee in final seconds
