Professor Paul Cooper developed the new Construction Management program for Cebu State College of Science and Technology in the Philippines. Cebu State President Bonifacio Villanueva and Province of Cebu Governor Gwynne Garcia honored Cooper for his efforts to start an exchange program between NKU and Cebu State.

The Computer Science Department is revising its undergraduate course offerings in software engineering. The changes are a response to not only industry demand and student interest, but also to faculty expertise.

Pre-nursing and undeclared majors are invited to one of two informational sessions about admissions, requirements and prerequisites for nursing. A nursing student panel will discuss the commitment, the grading scale and the time management skills needed to succeed. The hour-long sessions are Nov. 10 and Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. in Albright Health Center 308.
College of Education and Human Services
More than 100 local high school students competed at the first Future Educators Association Regional Competition Oct. 23. The contests ranged from designing a T-shirt for the theme “Aspire to Reach Hirer – TEACH” to impromptu speaking on an educational topic. Students compete at the state level in November, and the winners attend a national conference in Denver in February 2009.
