Military History Lecture rescheduled
Northern Kentucky University’s Military History Lecture is rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. due to inclement weather. The event will take place at the Holbrook Student Center in Thomas More College’s Steigerwald Hall. The lecture is a result of the partnership between NKU’s Department of Geography and Department of History and Thomas More’s International Studies department. It is titled “Our Film: Inspiring World War II British Workers to Support the Soviet Union,” and will be presented by Dr. Erwin F. Erhardt, professor of history and political economy at Thomas More.
Girl Scouts participate in seminar
The Northern Kentucky University’s Public Relations Student Society of America is hosting a Girl Scouts Troop promote higher education in the field of communication. Girl Scouts of the USA currently have 3.7 million girl and adult members. The Girl Scouts Troop will partake in a brief seminar on public relations and also create promotional and informational materials for its annual cookie sale. The event will take place Saturday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. in the Landrum Academic Center.
College holding visits for potential deans
The search committee for the Dean of the College of Business is announcing its five distinguished candidates by holding campus visits. Candidate Dr. Matthew Shank will speak on Friday, Feb. 23 from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. in AC 506. Candidate Dr. Renee Florsheim will speak on Monday, Feb. 26 from 2 to 3 p.m. in AC 506. Dr. Danny Arnold will speak Wednesday, Feb. 28 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Welcome Center Room 102. Dr. Nancy Merritt will speak Thursday, March 1 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Welcome Center Room 102. Dr. James Payne will speak Friday, March 2 from 2. to 3 p.m. in AC 506.
University Housing hiring for summer
The Office of University Housing is hiring student staff members for the summer. They will be hiring positions for: summer resident assistant staff, summer conference staff and summer maintenance/housekeeping team.
