Terrorist attacks affect game plans for Norse runners

As the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks continue to affect the United States, they also took their toll on the Northern Kentucky University's cross-country team. The team was scheduled to race in the Bronx, New York City. on Saturday Sept. 22. Even though the race remained scheduled, NKU's runners were unable to make the airline flight.

Students, faculty and alumni compete in intramural sports

There's no truth to the rumor that there's nothing to do on the Northern Kentucky University campus, at least according to Dan Henry. "One of my biggest pet peeves is when students complain there is nothing to do," said Henry, program manager for campus recreation and also in charge of intramural sports on campus.

Male athlete of the week

Northern Kentucky University's Kevin Crone, a 6-foot-3-inch senior from Hebron, is the Northerner Male Athlete of the Week. Crone, a defensive midfielder on the men's soccer team, scored NKU's only goal in the 2-1 loss to No. 1 Lewis University Oct. 7. Crone also scored a pair of goals in the 5-0 win over Saint Joseph's College Sept.
