Late goal causes NKU to fall against Butler

NKU lost last minute at home against Butler 2-1. The Norse now fall to 1-2 in the regular season, while Butler Bulldogs advance 3-0.

Women’s soccer loses 1-0 in Home Opener

NKU women’s soccer team lost their first game of the regular season 1-0 against the Ohio Bobcats. The Norse are projected to finish second in the Horizon League start out the season 1-1. While the Bobcats advance 2-1 and picked to place fifth in the preseason coaches poll for the Mid-American Conference.

Men’s soccer dominates Tiffin in exhibition 5-1

The men’s soccer team starts the preseason against Tiffin 5-0 on Saturday following a tie 0-0, against #8 University of Kentucky. Four Norse were able to contribute to the scoreboard in the victory.

The Women's Soccer exhibition game against Morehead State University ended in a stalemate of 1-1 Saturday night. Morehead State only had one shot on goal while the Norse produced seven.

NKU Women’s Soccer team adds transfer Mimi Stines

NKU Women’s soccer team Head Coach Bob Sheehan announced Tuesday the introduction of Mimi Stines for the 2019 season. Stines is a redshirt freshman from the University of Dayton and will be joining senior Sarah Cady and junior Jennifer Farwell in the goalkeeping position.

NKU Men’s basketball team continues to grow with another commit announced early Friday. John Harge of Hillcrest Preparatory academy tweeted his verbal commitment to NKU on Wednesday, June 5.

Norse Baseball Break Losing Streak against Oakland Grizzlies

In their series against Oakland, the NKU baseball team breaks their seven game losing streak with a sweep against the Golden Grizzlies. The Norse won the first game on Saturday 11-10, followed by two wins on Sunday with final scores of 12-3 and 14-3.  This brings the Norse’s overall record up to 13-34 and their conference record to 11-13, while the Golden Grizzlies fall to 10-30 overall and 8-13 in the Horizon League.

Norse softball falls to Miami Redhawks during double-header

The NKU softball team took on Miami (Ohio) in a double header on Tuesday afternoon.  The final score of the first game was 5-1 with the Redhawks winning. The final score of the second game was 3-2 with the Redhawks taking the win as well. Overall, the Norse’s record falls 17-30 while the Redhawks’ record improves 30-14.
