Say no to ‘no-knowledge college’

'No-knowledge college' is a term I want stricken from Northern Kentucky University's vocabulary. In fact, I want that attitude eliminated from NKU's student body altogether.

Good news is that stigma is slowly fading away, according to Chris Cole, director of Media Relations and Communications.

The Northern Kentucky women's basketball team will tip off their regular season Nov. 18 at 7:00 p.m. against University of Cincinnati Clermont at The Bank of Kentucky Center.
With a new starting lineup and some fresh faces, the Lady Norse are young, but eager to prove themselves as contenders in the Grand Valley Lakes Conference.

Most students deal with foot traffic, finding a place to park and getting to class on time during their day.' Imagine having to do this if you travelled around campus in a wheelchair, or were blind.' Even though NKU has several handicapped ramps, at least one entrance on each building with an automatic door opener button, and at least two elevators in every building, some students with disabilities still face challenges getting around campus.
Senior Annie Donnellon, who is blind, experiences compounded difficulty with these student concerns, one being construction on campus.

The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team was selected as the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Division II Tournament.' Six teams qualified from the region and the No. 1 and 2 seeds will receive first-round byes.
