Student journalist conference at NKU Friday

Student journalists from across Kentucky will be at NKU Friday for the Kentucky Intercollegiate Press Association seminar.

Student journalists from across the state of Kentucky will gather at Northern Kentucky University on Friday for the Kentucky Intercollegiate Press Association.

NKU students are encouraged to attend the event, which runs from 9:15 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Friday in Griffin Hall. Registration will be at 9:15 a.m. in room 240.

Students are asked to register in advance at go.nku.edu/kipa. There is no cost to attend.

Speakers from several news organizations will be on hand holding seminars throughout the day.

News organizations represented during Friday’s seminar include the Cincinnati Enquirer, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, WCPO.com and the E.W. Scripps Co. among others.

According to the event website, media professionals will be sharing the latest technology and reporting techniques during the event. There will be sessions for those interested in news reporting, feature writing, photography, video, marketing, social media, page design, media law and more.
