The Northern Kentucky men’s basketball team captured their second win in three days Saturday night against the Cleveland State Vikings. The win marks five straight conference wins for the Black and Gold.

The game came down to the last minute Friday night at BB&T Arena, where NKU women’s basketball team fell 55-63. The Norse now stand 9-9 overall and 3-4 in the conference. Sophomore point guard Ally Niece led the game with 16 points, five assists and three steals. sophomore point guard Taylor Clos had 13 points, shooting 3-of-4 big time 3-point baskets.

NKU women's basketball fell to Cleveland State 73-68 Saturday afternoon at BB&T Arena. In the conference the Norse are now 2-2 and have an overall record of 8-7. Sophomore forward Emmy Souder and Sophomore point guard each led with 18 points apiece. Sophomore point guard Ally Niece followed with 11 points, shooting from 50 percent at the 3-point line. Junior center Grayson Rose had 17 rebounds from the boards.

The Northern Kentucky women’s basketball team captured their eighth win of the season Thursday night at BB&T Arena 75-56. The victory over the Youngstown State Penguins is also the second conference win for the Black and Gold. Coming into the game YSU was the overall leader in the Horizon League.

The Northern Kentucky men’s basketball team won its Horizon League conference opener Saturday afternoon against the Milwaukee Panthers 74-64 at BB&T Arena. Senior guard Tyler Sharpe led the Norse with 31 points, including six 3-pointers. This game was Sharpe’s third consecutive 30 point performance.
