Recent graduate and former soccer player for the NKU Women’s soccer team, Rachel Conaway, is anything but ordinary. During her time at NKU, Conaway suffered multiple injuries—from a torn right quad her freshman year, typical ankle sprains her sophomore year to re-tweaking her right quad senior year.

Student-athletes in college have trainers and coaches around to keep them in top physical condition. If they get injured, doctors are in place to help get them back on the field in peak physical shape. But who can help student-athletes with their mental health? Mental health is an important area that can be overlooked when coaches and trainers push the student-athletes to be invincible physically.

NKU Invitational ends 1-2 for the Norse

The Norse hosted three top teams in the top 100 of NCAA Division I volleyball over the weekend. The Norse played no. 1 in the MAC West Division Ball State Friday night then faced no. 4 in the ACC Notre Dame and no. 2 in the AVC University of Cincinnati on Saturday night. The Norse finished the tournament 1-2 bringing their season record to 5-4.

NKU women's soccer team falls to Xavier 4-0, making the season record 3-4. Xavier’s record increases to 5-1-1. Xavier ended the game with 22 shots and 13 shots on goal while NKU finished with one shot.
