The Northerner Application for Employment

Thank you for your interest in joining our team.

At The Northerner, we're always seeking fresh talent from all across campus.

Whether you're a writer, photographer, salesman or cartoonist, The Northerner is a great place to gain experience that stands out on a résumé.

Who should apply?

Anyone. The Northerner welcomes talent from all majors.

Fill out an application, let us know what you do. Are you a natural grammarian who cringes every time a friend
sends you a text message that mocks the English language? Make use of that talent as a copy editor. Are you an aspiring videographer who has just begun your studies as an EMB major? Help us bring the audience to the scene with online video. Would you rather doodle in the margins than take notes during [insert boring gen-ed course here] class? The Northerner has many opportunities for artists with a vision and desire to succeed.

How do I apply?

Joining our team has never been easier. The link below will provide you with a .pdf of our application designed specifically for online submission. Fill it out and click submit. That's all there is to it.

If you'd prefer, you may print your application off and bring it to our office (University Center, room 335) with an attached essay and any examples of your work you'd like us to see.

Please be sure your version of Acrobat Reader is up to date.
The Northerner Application for Employment

Please be sure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader before filling out the application and submitting online.

The Submit function at the top of the application will not work properly on versions of Acrobat Reader prior to 9. To see whether your version is up to date: from within Acrobat Reader, click Help>About.

Should you choose not to use Acrobat Reader 9, your older version may allow you to save a copy. You can email the resulting .pdf file to the Web editor-in-chief [castellij1@nku.edu], but the automatic submission enabled by the latest Acrobat Reader is preferred.

To get the free Acrobat Reader 9, go to Adobe's Web site.
