Advertising with The Northerner

This piece is less a news article than it is a press release on behalf of the fired employees. Why is there an Office of African American Student Affairs, in the first place? Sounds pretty racist to me, and a violation of the 14th Amendment rights of non-black students (in practice, of white students’ rights, since other “minority” groups have their own student affairs advocates).

All the talk about “retention” involves people bragging about their efforts at doing bad things. “Retention” is a higher ed euphemism for keeping unqualified students in school, rather than flunking them out. This serves three different lobbies: The school administration, racist advocates for black students, and unqualified black students. 1. NKU’s administration: The maximum amount of student financial aid continues flowing into its coffers. 2. Racist advocates: They get relatively high-paying jobs requiring little in the way of education or work, while being able to make the maximum of racial mischief, such as inculcating in unqualified black students the notion that their problems are really due to “racism,” rather than their own shortcomings, coercing professors into engaging in outrageous grade inflation on behalf of black students, and gaining other illegal privileges for black students. 3. Unqualified black students: Some of them gain an unearned shot at graduating, though others may end up flunking out later than they otherwise would have, saddled with unmanageable levels of student loan debt that enriched NKU personnel.
